What has been the public policy response to covid-19 in Latin America?

Latin America has been one of the hardest hit regions by COVID-19, with governments facing the difficult task to lead a response to the pandemic. This webinar on the 22nd of April will present an overview of initiatives that countries and WASH stakeholders have been implementing, with case studies from Ecuador and Colombia.

The aim is to share lessons learned about the response strategies and actions to secure and sustain access to WASH services to all, including the most vulnerable groups as well as schools and health care facilities. The webinar is intended for water and sanitation decision-makers and practitioners who want to know more about COVID-19 prevention and response, and anyone otherwise interested.

This seminar will present a public policy mapping carried out by SIWI as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Initiatives are divided into two categories; that are aimed at securing water, sanitation and hygiene for all; and those that seek to provide technical and financial support to utilities.
